    Hi everyone,
I was very lucky and in the right place at the right time and managed to get a $25 box on the first variety of the 2009-D cent. It is in a String & Son box (The box has a large postmark type emblem on the bottom with String & Son and Harrisburg Pa around the circle.) Inside the circle it is stamped with a CWI number, Inspectors number and the date, Feb 6, 2009. I am curious as to when the mint started production on this coin, and if these could be considered early production coins.
    Thanks ahead of time,
    George

I don't follow that kind of thing, but until you find out, don't open the box. I hear once the box is open, such claim can not be verified even if it was.

Typically for circulation coins the mint begins production in Nov or Dec of the preceding year. For silver eagles production can begin as early as the preceding August.

If you can...DON'T OPEN>>>just sit on them for now......you'll be rewarded later....with a nice return.....in my opinion
