    Hey everyone! :)

I recently acquired my very first Draped Bust Half Dollar. I got it quite cheap (at least in my opinion) and it's in better state than I expected! :D

On the obverse, the TY in LIBERTY is fully doubled, along with a die crack running through the stars and under the date. On the reverse, there's a neat die crack running above UNITED.

The coin looks much better in hand where there are no hairlines visible and it looks to have an original color, but the artificial light I used ruined it! This one sure is a beauty though!

All grades, attributions and comments are more than welcome! :hail:

nice original coin! I don't know how to grade these, but i'd guess a G-4.

    Cool coin! Congrats.

    I'd grade it G-6ish...Mike

p.s. A quick correction: RT is not doubled per-se, it is repunched. :)

yep. O-115 R1. I would grade it at G4. Diagnostic to this Pointed 6 variety is the single die break through the base of the date into the stars.

I was thinking it's grade was G-4, but was hoping for VG. Thanks everyone for attributing it :D

G-4. She's a beauty! Those early bust halves are tough to find for any reasonable price.

The doubling , die crack through the date , the more I look the better the coin looks and looks like original color too , nice .

I think it has a great color too :D And if it's been cleaned (which I don't think it has) it was either done really lightly, or quite some time ago :)

Are you sure it is not the O-115A - I can see most of the crack mentioned on the reverse. You have to look real carefully at the top of STATES and it might be more noticeable in hand. I agree with the G-6 grade. Very nice coin Ryan.

I looked at the A. I don't see the die crack from the cloud to the OF on the rev.

Thanks everyone :) I've been meaning to get one for quite a long time now, but couldn't find one at an affordable price. I was really happy when I received it, since it's surface and color is a beauty! :D
