It is a Italian Banknote 100,000 Lira with a picture of A Manzoni on the front a mountain lake scene on the back. Printed between 1967 and 1974 It has 3 different signiture combinations and realy shoudnt be folded like that as in VG condition it books at $80
It's a 100000 Lire note from Italy. 1966 Issue. Looks like Pick# 100a, but could also bee 100b or 100c. Hard to read the signature in that picture.
I didn't write it, but it is not folded! it is scaned, and looks exactly like in the picture. on both sides. some kind of misprint, error, what is this? that is the reason for this post. I find this "normal" banknote like on this dursin picture, but havn't seen anything like this. sry, i know my english is not to good...
If that is an image of a single 'piece of paper', then I don't have a clue. Can't imagine that an error like that is even remotely possible.
I'm gonna have to go with my gut instinct and say: Someone is trying to prank us with some silly shenanigans.
Who we need here is antiquedave, since he has experience in printing presses. He should know whats going on here.
No idea...could be a movie prop, part of a magic trick, a stack of 'prank notes', a 'bep type' sample, etc... it's not currency though and I can't imagine it being worth much more than the paper it's printed on.
I don't believe it is a movie prop, magic trick, or a prank note. I'm not an expert, but it is printed on real money paper (can feel it). My grandpa used to carry it in his wallet since I can remember. And I'm 31 now. So it is old. And that is all I know.
You can tell from the slightly folded/dogeared corner that the back and front are identical. That's what leads me to believe it is part of some trick or prank. Until someone comes up with something better, that's what I'm sticking with. It is not possible that any sort of printing error would result in a "note" that looked like that.
the 2 images provided are not the same image. if you look at the fold down the center, in the first image, the hole is on the right, while inthe second image, the hold along the fold is on the left. I do believe, 1 picture is the reverse of the other, however, i do not believe the note to be authentic. it looks like somthing printed in a magazine or somthing simlar. a note that was 'printed' would not look like that.
It's 58 years since I had classes in printing at journalism school, and almost that long since I worked in a print shop, but I can't conceive of any type of printing error that would give that kind of result.
yes, one picture is reverse of the other. they are identical. ty for replays. just one more question. it is 19 centimeters long. How long is the real note? is that relevant? ty all one more time.
