Well, Sliver is still up. Maybe that would not be such a bad idea. Buy it all back if silver ever comes down again.

It's the rational thing to do in these types of situations, especially with low purity silver coins.

Take that free money and use it to buy nice coins for a long term old collection and/or build up the bullion stash at a very low (effective) DCA.

I do have some listed on eBay. sold 3 so far. expecting more to sell soon since today's silver price jump, my listed price is about even w/ melt. But I did take a best offer the other day that is below today's melt value. I may list some in the for sale section here. Not wanting to drop all of it yet though. want to save some for a rainy day.

At the risk of being pushy, the rainy day is now, in my opinion. When you're cost of acquisition is so high, you need to actualize it into cash. Then use some of it to stock your rainy day fund with higher purity silver coins (90%+).

    But you do you.

Also consider FB coin selling groups...No fees, and easy.

Another consideration is buying stocks. I made ~7% profit (after tax) on oil stocks I sold in 2020, and I will continue to earn quarterly dividends on the oil stocks I kept.

The good news is you have almost unlimited options

Sorry my brain was working correctly:

When your cost of acquisition is so low and profit high....

2 more solid boxes of Tall Grass Prairie netted me 33 more “W”s. There was only one obverse W ender but there were 2 reverse enders that I didn’t know about until I opened the rolls.

It makes sense to do it that way. So far eBay sales are going swiftly. Costs me some in fees.....but still coming out WAY ahead. May visit my LCS and buy some silver with the profits.

My latest purchase of a $100 nickel box by early decades revealed: 2 from the 30s including a Buffalo, 10 from the 40s including 3 from SF, and 5 from the 50s. Also scored were 3 from 2009. Attached are the highlights of the pick.

Admittedly, green energy stocks will grow in value the next few years, but green energy materials must be mined with equipment fueled by diesel...also, oil prices are bound to increase this year (and oil company stock prices will follow) as the US economy returns to (the new) normal.

I'm mainly a buy and hold guy, so I'm confident I'll enjoy collecting dividends until I'm ready to sell in about 10 years when I'll consider selling my stock to buy a retirement property!
