I don't know much about mexican coins, but just got a bunch (25 or 30) with various dates. Does anyone know if they used silver? what percentage, and what dates? Any info (or link) would be appreciated. bob
post a pic of all your coins together and I will be able to tell you what you have. Make sure we can see the dates, and if we can please list them. the better photo you will provide the better grade and market price we can attribute. W.

pics of Mexican coins OK, here are some pics. I know nothing about these....I appreciate you help. One looks like a commemorative of the 68 Olympics, obviously.... Any gold or silver content?
More Mexican coins Here are some more.... I could post more, but don't want to overwhelm.... Any info you could provide would be great! thanks. Bob
the top is a Aluminum-bronze, Coin and that one in that condition is worth about .60 cents. The other one .
The bottom one is a 25 peso %72 silver. and is worth about 5 dollars. You should try cleaning it up a little.
Jessash: How do you suggest cleaning? I thought it was a cardinal sin to clean coins....(fairly new to coin collecting)
the 36 and 42 10 centavos are keepers. They are only copper-nickel, but are worth between 2-5 bucks a piece.
I think if it is made of mostly silver and has that nasty-looking green crap growing on it, then I would clean it with a silver dipo or something like that.
"nasty looking green crap" Is that a technical coin term I should google in order to understand it better?:goofer:
