I came accross this ended eBay auction and noticed just how loose the roll seemed. The roll is even pulled down to show the vdb on both ends. How easy would it have been to refill this roll with common junk and put a vdb on each end. http://cgi.ebay.com/Lincoln-Indian-...s=66:2|65:13|39:1|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50 someone paid over 150 for it.
Buying supposedly 'unsearched' rolls on ebay is a fools game. No better way for sellers to sell off the junk at a huge premium. Baiting the ends of a roll is a joke. Does the buyer believe that somehow this was rolled in 1909 and the whole roll are VDBs? (Shouldn't they be in better condition?) Or that somehow miraculously most of the roll will be VDB's just by coincidence and defy all odds? Dumb.
Unbelievable someone is as underhanded as to 'stage' the roll like that, and equally as unbelievalbe that people fall for that crap.
