i think ive found a direction

    im thinking about collecting peace dollars, they are my favorite design of all the coins ive seen
    plus my friends are always caught off-guard by the "TRVST"
    (why did they print them like that?)

    Yep... just the Latin version of "U" (where "u" and "v" were interchangeable)... also appears on the Standing Liberty quarters.

    Peace dollars are a do-able collection. Like BQ stated...get the best quality, that is, get the highest grade that you can afford. That goes for any series that you want to collect.

    It's only what? 23 coins?

    You should have that collection finished by the end of the summer.

    Are you buying raw and putting them in an album? or going for the slabbed variety?

    well im going to try to get all of them it doesnt matter if its slabed or not, i have special cases i put them in

    Isn't there a $4k coin in the set? Not trying to be negative, just pointing it out.

    no, but the first, 1921, is like 150 in VG

    According to the redbook I just opened for the first time in about 2 months now, the 1928 Peace is $475 in VF.

    Oh, didn't know VF was the grade you were collecting in. I was going with MS 63
