1964 D penny w/ S? above it

    Looked like something initially above the D, then took pics. What do you guys think?:confused:

    there is deffinantly something there!! I have the hardest time seeing this same type error on the 1944 d over s 46 s over d.

    Yep there is and also something to the right and as a matter of fact their everywhere. OK, I'm just playing with you. I don't think there is anything to it, what would be the reason?

    I don't try to wonder why it is there, but it definitely looks like a"S" above it. And I did not put it there.:mouth:

    There is no way an S could be there. There was no S punch in use in 1964 on cents. Only D mintmarks. It appears to be a slight anomaly in the metal that gives the appearance of being something it isn't.

    And the anomaly is worn die scratches...that's all. The rest is a case of a healthy imagination.
