This Lincoln 1929 D, has a double D very visible, My question is that. It's lamination error and a double nose also?
If you put a little more attention. You see that, the D on the top does not follow the parallel line of the Date, only the other one. And this is not a SET-UP.
Huh? The "D" was put on the die at a completely different time then the date was. It is acceptable for the D to not follow the same line as the date.
Try to get a better picture of the D and I'll take another look. I still think it is wear and damage but a better picture will give me a chance to check again.
Promise I'll get another picture in the weekend. I'm in my work and left my camera in home. This time I'll apply a xtra magnifier to my camera I'm not so good in taking pictures. Thank again for your help. I was wrong about the angular position "It's the top one which is in better angular position". I think that was the reason of the second.
These are the best pictures I can bring to you. I'm happy any way because lately I discover that. THE EAR RING OF MR LINCOLN is nothing else than the material coming off from his coat. Thank again every body for your comments.
The coin is worn and beat up nothing of significance on this coin sorry again Carlos. Doe's the earing look like this? JC
Hi Carlos, The little hole on his coat is damage. It has nothing to do with his ear lobe and the D unfortunately is still not doubled. It's just a worn out 1929 D cent. Have Fun, Bill
