At first I thought it had been washed. It cetainly has the feel of being washed. But why Are the serial #'s, seals and reserve number still bright?
it has been washed. sometimes when bills are washed for some reason only certain parts of the ink get removed. we have gotten a bunch of singles at work that a guy had washed in his jeans and they looked exactly like that
That makes sense. If I recall correctly, the serials are printed on a separate pass which means the ink for the serials may behave differently in the wash.
cool note... look at the reverse of the ghostly note there is a small triangle of 'normalcy' near the right center ... bet it took some weird set of circumstances to get that
Dang! I'm still gonna keep it though. Thanks. If you change your minds and it is more valuable, LMK. HAhaha
to me it looked like it was crumbled up and uncrumble many, many times, but you guys are probably right
imnot convinced about that. I have never seen a cirulated example of a polymer note. all the plastic i have is unc. anyone have an older polymer note that has seen alot of circulation? how well does it wear?
you're right that is weird looking. I suspect it was found in the lint trap of a dryer after a cycle through both washer and dryer.
