Not an expert at these, but from what I see on heritage I would say you did okay. Just not sure of a grade or if it has been cleaned. From the hairlines I think so, but I could be wrong. Wait for someone with more expertise.

Not sure on grade but in my opinion you payed a little too much. But you didn't do too bad.

 

Considering you bought a branch-mint gold coin that's over 125 years old, with under 1 million minted; and further considering that with gold today at $884, it melts at $212..... I'd say you did pretty good!

 

I think you did pretty good it could be cleaned but is a nice coin. Looks like gold is going to go back up so it might be good for you. Ice
