Grade my BU Lincoln please! I'm thinking MS66!

I went through 2 BU rolls of 1964 cents, and I found around 30 that were mid-grade (MS65ish), and these three stand out from the rest. I compared them to some graded MS66 coins and these look the same or better. Let me know what their grades are, thanks! Is there a possibility that they are MS67?

Both have blazing color, and nice clean fields!

Let me know what you think! Thanks! :thumb:

    I would say 66, 66, and 65.

Not real good with high grades on these, but the first and third look very nice to me. The second one the color seems off from the pictures. Both of those coins I would say 65's - not an expert on these, so wait for more opinions.

I'd give a 66 but I am not a "Lincoln guy". These guys here grade tough so be ready for low balls. My only concern is that it looks like a little tick on the cheek bone.

The first looks like a solid 66, the second a solid 65 and the third I cannot tell for sure. It is a 66/65 to me.

Luster is blazing on these, that counts bigtime......#1 screams GEM !!!!! #2 has spent some time either in a paper wrapper or an album.

Number one is a 67 IMO, and number 2 is a 66, and # 3 a 65. Number one coin is VERY nice. Congrats.

#1 sure is nice, eh :) It also has some wicked turquoise toning that's hard to get a picture off.

Not bad for a $1 buck roll (+ shipping)

Lucky finds for only searching 2 rolls! These are minimum 66's IMO. I can tell they all have blazing luster, I bet they look a lot better in hand. Where those OBW rolls?

On coin number 2 I would say 65 due to the ding on the "N" on the reverse. Looks like a few scattered nicks on the steps as well.

With this date the first coin would have to be looked at in hand but

With this date the first coin would have to be looked at in hand but it would be tough to get a 67 out of it, the others 64, 64, maybe 65, 65.
I think if the first one had a shot at anything other than 66 it would have to have a little better strike on the obverse - there are so many and I have found earlier dies states than that #1 coin but admittedly not has clean as yours so,, - it's a nice coin though but I don't think it would ever 67 in the current grading market. It would not with PCGS but may with the other 2, nice coins though.
You did good though - I bet I have went through 1000 rolls of 1964 and rarely found any that clean.

    Leadfoot there is no spoon

A bit of a weak strike/worn die on the obverses, but I see nothing to suggest that the coins would grade any lower than 66 -- with the possible exception of #2 which I could see getting a 65.
