Check this one out. Pretty excited about it, but don't know what happened to my camera as I can't seem to get a decent picture of it. If you can manage a grade, go for it, but if not, I totally understand. The spot is much less noticeable in hand.

I don't collect wheat cents, but one doesn't have to know this is a really nice coin.

Nice VDB, A little spot before the "in" on the obverse. It can't be disregarded as any coin grading service will take it into consideration. Nice coin, including the spot. Spotting is common in Lincolns. As long as there isn't any verdigris you are ok.

I edited my post. No verdigris on this beauty.

Yes no verdigris, but there is still a spot. Spotting is common yet it does detract slightly from the grade. Again Nice coin!

Nice example, looks nearly hit free....pics not good enough for grading.

I'll try scanning it since my camera is acting strange.

Your pix are a little fuzzy, but I would guess 63 mostly because of the spots.

That's what I was thinking. What should I have paid for it?

That is kind of a loaded question, isn't it? Greysheet lists is for $26 ask.

I would go AU-55/58 on this coin, not a bad one at all.

The dealer I bought it from is very knowledgeable and said it was an unc. I tend to think it is a weakly struck coin. This would keep it from grading higher than a 63 IMO. The luster rolls over the cheekbone nicely.
