there is a story behind this coin, i got it from a 76 year old man that his mother gave it to him many years ago. his mom went to las vagas many years ago when he was a child and she hit a jack pot and she could of tooked the jack pot or the gold coin, she took the coin and here it is, i would like to know what is it worth. thank you
I love it when a coin has some known history. Really adds something. People should write down the story behind them (if there is one) or it may eventually be lost forever.
this double eagle here i sold to a person on ebay for $1450.00 and on all the coins i sell i put no returns on coins because i dont know what they do to them when they get them. she is trying to tell me that the coin has been dipped and i know in fact it was not. it had been in the old mans house for over 65 years and he dont sell coins just needed money and i got it from him and sold it. frist time i ever had trouble with anyone on ebay and i have a five star rating she said her coin dealer told her she over payed for the coin so i know there has been people handleing the coin. the right way or wrong way i have no idea as of now im still standing behind my policy which is no retruns on coins so ask for all the pictures you need or questions im i right about this or not.
