Hello, I meant coin shows, not swows... I am looking for some coin shows in Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri in the next couple of months. Are there any good shows you guys would recommend?
Yeah, July 23-25 at the St. Charles convention center in St. Charles, MO. Right outside of St. Louis.
Thanks, but any others besides the one in St. Charles? I am going a fair and a rock show that weekend.
You just have to move to Illinois. Coin shows every weekend here somewhere. International One in Rosemont April 23, 24, 25, 26.
Thanks. I looed at www.coinshows.com, but it did not have specific information. The KC monthly shows look promising. Any information on those? How many tables? Any specialties? Also, are there any good coin shows or shops in Nebraska worth checking out?
Hello, What are the best places in KC to look for coins? Also, is there a show in the KC area over the weekend of Mar. 19 to 21?
Try Google or Yahoo. Just type in coin shows and your state. I've found that the ones listed there are fairly complete. Fairly though since many shows, for some unknown reason, don't make it to those listings. You may also try the same thing for coin clubs and the state. Then contact those clubs for any local shows that they know of. I've found doing that and also contacting some dealers that move around to other states have listings of coin shows.
I just went to Google and typed in Coin Shows and found one listing for something called the Central States Numismatic Society. Went there and they had listings for coin shows in IA, NE, MO
There is one in Cedar Rapids, Iowa TOMORROW Yes, tomorrow (Sunday, March 14) 9 - 5 Location: Elks Lodge, 801 33rd Ave SW This is in the "Hawkeye Downs" area of Cedar Rapids. 30 or so tables when I was there two years ago. I get the impression that more than a couple of the dealers are not "full time" or whatever - vest-pocket, if you like. Nice show. It's Iowa. You're almost guaranteed a discount when it's time to pay. I haven't watched the weather this weekend, but there is some flooding - so if you are coming in and you're not "local", make sure the roads are open.
