Well friends..looking over the collection recently I noticed a lone Series 1928 "Funny Back" so I thought it might be best to give it some company....here is the 1928 A in Gem and now I will add the remaining notes of this Series. As usual there are a few of them that are expensive and if a Large Size comes up that I need it will take front seat to the small silvers I'm starting to work on....
    Hope you enjoy...

I do too...they're probably my favorite note! Rickie, you need to expand the collection to include ALL funnybacks though, including the 1934 series as well as the 1928 $1 US Note.

Well well well....thus far I have found a Gem 66 available for $6500.00

Can you imagine what the star would cost??

The 1928 D in CHCU is going for ~ $750-$900

Oh well I am in no hurry as I have several Large Size I still want to add first!
But don't you worry...they will find there way into the collection...(no stars)

You only need a few thousand? Man! you must have some stash RickieB as it lists at $145,000 in Gem. I don't know if one even exists in Gem honestly.

Rickie, why do they call them Funny Backs? I have heard that term many times. Thanks. Joe

It's just a nickname for the notes because the reverse design is significantly different from the dollar bills we're all used to seeing.

That is an awesome funny back Rickie. I know you'll give it a good home. :)

LOL...I did not say I was cashing in the 401K Plan..:) :)
You gotta be kidding me!! 145K???
What a hoard of notes I could add with that!!

I have set a personal Target of 4-5 MM in Annual Sales the next 2 years..
That would put me in that range for sure...hahah but for 1 note...nahhh I'll pass on the stars!!

    Thanks Clembo!!

I was yanking your chain a bit there RickieB. The last time I heard of a 28E star it was a rag and went for around 10k.
Maybe you should set your sites on the C and D stars in Gem. Only 45k and 61k respectively.;)

That seems more reasonable to me. :rolling:

    Go for it Rickie!!! :D
