ok...I guess mine is a nickel...no mention of a 10...one side has the head of liberty, the date 1911 and 13 stars around her head; the reverse has a V surrounded by a sheath of wheat (?) with 'cents' underneath and e pluribus unum and United States of America at the top. $2??
One clue is the coin's diameter. A 1911 nickel is the same diameter as a modern nickel and a 1911 dime is the same diameter as a modern dime. (Same goes for cents, quarters and halves.)
Answer to your question I have a 1911 silver liberty nickel, the V on the back is for he number 5. I is not a dime but a nickel it is a little bigger than a dime and thicker. It is silver, but I do not know how much it would be worth. If you find out, let me know please. Thank you and I hope I helped you a little bit on what to look for. Sincerely, Jeanette
This is exactly what I have. Could you give me a price on what it is worth? My nickel is in the exact same condition as that picture. It looks identical. Thank you for your time Sincerely, Jeanette Gagnon
Now how much is this worth? Please email me and let me know.' Email address removed for safety. Use private messaging
have you tried looking on Ebay, heritage or Teletrade for value of what items have been selling for? If not I would start there. Also not good to give your email address out.
Jeanette, its a nickel that in that shape is worth about a dollar or two. There is no silver in them, they are the same composition as today.
Response o Thank you very much. I am saving it to pass to my kids anyway. It may be worth more twenty years from now.
