(not sure if this is the right spot, but)
So, these were from my grandparent's travels as an AirForce family. There are a few stacks there of coins from Mexico(not sure they would be worth anything), some from Canada(a few silver dimes and some older pennies), then many from Europe and the countries over there. Are there any in particular I should look for that would be wotrh much?
Or are foreign coins not as valuable?

(pics arent the best, but give an idea as to what is kinda there.)

Looks like you have some silver half dollars there, a subway token? (the one with the M), and probably some other silver coins in there as well. Personally, I think the designs on the Mexican coins are awesome. Welcome to COintalk BTW.

Yea, there are 5 franklins, 5 90% jfks and 3 40% jfks and the others were post 1970.
That token, I am having a hard time finding out where it's from. It has Midland Transportation on it, but I'm Googled out on it.

Also, were coins ever struck in aluminum? Some of the shiny coins there feel light, but I'm unsure if they are aluminum or what.

Oh, there is a 194_ Roosevelt dime there kind of by itself close to the Sakajawea?, it's worn quite a bit like someone rubbed it down. Can hardly tell whats on the reverse.

Yes, coins were struck in aluminum. You can tell if the dime is silver by looking at the edge. No copper line = silver. You should get more resposes about the other coins/token from others. Clear pics will help (Use the macro(flower icon) on your camera) just pick a few coins at a time. Or maybe a list of types of coins and the date. We shoild be able to help you pick out the more valuable ones.

    Wow nice assortment of coins.
The Noost gave you an excellent suggestion of cataloging the coins by country, date and denomination and post it here to find the valuable ones.

I'll get that done in the morning. They have been sitting on the coffee table for about a month or so now with a couple dozen rolls of us coins that i already searched(found a few non-key wheats and that really worn dime) so its about time i deal with them.

Have you got any coins from countries in there that no longer exist? East Germany, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, etc?
