I am not sure if this a type 1 or 2. I think it maybe a type 2 but not 100% sure. any help would be great!!!!!!
I maybe wrong but is not the type 1 the common one? the type 2 is about $40.00 more in the price guide?
According to Rick Tomaska's web site, the 1956 type 1 is the more expensive one. He has a 1956 NGC PR-67 Type 1 Cameo at $750 and a 1956 NGC PR-68 Type 2 Cameo at $175. I found this on ebay describing the differences between a Type 1 and Type 2 proof: http://reviews.ebay.com/1956-Proof-...-Type-1-and-Type-2_W0QQugidZ10000000006277091 Looking at the number of tips on the eagle's wing, it appears you have a type 2.
Sorry, I was wrong. The type 1 is the better of the two. There was a really cool thread about these a few years back. I'll see if I can find it.
It take a good man to say he is wrong U are 1 Idhair that is ok! I just glad I am almost done with my graded Franklin Proof set. still have to find 1954-50 in PR Came or Ultra cameo I can afford!
Keep us updated on the status of your set! I'm working on a set of PF Franklins as well...have been for years, but I'm alittle picky. They all have to be graded PF66, and I perfer NGC graded. I do have a few DCAMs and CAM's, but not totally. I'm down to needing the 1951 and 1952. I'm wanting to upgrade a few of the ones I have, but not in a big hurry. Speedy
The 1950-52 were the tough ones for me. Just couldn't pay the price for cams. The 1950 in dcam would be a really special coin to own.
