I was looking through the Skymall magazine and I came across an item from Hammacher Schlemmer. It was the Tabletop Photo Studio. I came with a light box with an integrated diffuser screen, a tripod, and two 35W lights with adjustable legs. All for $100. Any thoughts? Does anyone know where you can just buy the photo box? I know I have heard some people on here mention the use of a photo box, but this was the first time I had ever seen one.
Don't know if this is the same thing but there used to be a web site called Table Top Photography. Otherwise sorry, can't help.
This site has some really cool boxes but I'm not sure a box is the best way to go as far as coin images. Just my opinion. It would be really cool to have around as an option for imaging some coins. Proofs come to mind first. This is an old link. Hope they are still in business. http://www.mkdigitaldirect.com/products/jewelry-photography-tabletop-lighting-systems.html
The MK Gem-eBox™ is a complete product photography tri-lit studio for small spaces and limited budgets. Yep, all this starting at a low price of $395!
You can actually build a nice box with printer paper and a few staples. Add some lights and a tripod and there you go.
I use lights like these... http://cgi.ebay.com/6500K-85W-2x100...3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:4|65:1|39:1|240:1318 That way you're not limited by the size of your box, and you can move your diffusers around as you see fit.
