Would you rather have the big set or the small set?

Although I don't see it stated outright, I assume the silver proof set that is scheduled to come out this summer will be a 15 piece set including....

    6 silver quarters
    1 silver dime
    1 silver nickel
    1 silver 50 cent piece
    1 penny
    1 Sacajawea dollar
    4 president

Is there any real advantage to getting the initial 6 piece set? Or rather do they go up in value any differently that the 15 piece set?

The reason I ask is because I have seen the mintage numbers for some of the quarters
    silver proof set - 741,014
five pieces statehood quarters silver proof set - 429,021
What does the mintage's mean? I know I got lots of questions, so feel free to put me through the ringer for asking the obvious, "Duhhhhhh," questions.

I happen to collect both sets, Coinguy, for no other good reason than: the mint issues them, i will buy them. The mintage numbers on these sets are so high that they will never (IMHO) ever be of exceedingly high value, but that doesn't stop me from collecting them.

Advantage of one set over the other? None that I can see other than the cost factor and you collecting desires.

One correction my friend. The nickle will not be silver.

Thank you for the correction Sir. It does seem to me that collecting the silver eagles and whatever silver random commemorative come out are the better bet if I am looking to sell when I am older. But as we have seen from the past, some of those quarter sets have grown in value.
