The luster looks muted. I see it but the coin looks cleaned. Maybe it's the light but the photo looks pixilated or whatever you call that. Like a cartoon.
That doesn't look like a scan at all to my eye.... The first clue is the coin has been photographed at an angle (very atypical of scans). The second clue is the way what luster that is left is portrayed -- it looks like a photo of muted luster and not completely flat like a scan would. All IMHO...Mike
p.p.s. and a high level of compression yielding smoothed fields. zoom into the original and see for yourself.
