It is nothing like a hobo nickel! It is not clever, creative, or in good taste. There is no hint of artistic talent in this piece (of crap).

Actually I find it rather pathetic that someone would take a dremel, inscribe "booth was here" on a Lincoln cent and then try to pass it off as some sort of historical memorabilia!

The people I worry about have not come yet. Just wait until someone bids on it. Those are the one I worry about and, just guessing, they will come.

he really went into great detail on the dead bufflalo! lol

The obverse however is in keeping with the hobo nickel tradition (albeit twisted and freaky)

That is why you have 5 bids. Nickel art is quite collectable, I just sold a real hobo nickel for $56. Crazy

    this one is disgusting....

I think someone here is lacking a sense of humor. I don't know if you guys, or the seller in case he actually thinks those are hobo nickels. Truth is my first reaction is to think he's trying to be funny.

I could see maybe if he had one on there as a joke, but he doesn't he has tons of auctions with the same garbage. I think I have a pretty good sense of humor :D, but what he's selling is just tasteless.

Yeah I just saw his other auctions. The skull one is actually not as bad as simply scratching the coin with letters. It can still be the case that he just posts them to be funny, or it could be that he is an apprentice hobo-nickeler.

PS. Or would you say hobo-nickelist?
