Looks NT to me. The only thing I don't like is there are too many marks in the obverse field. Could be that the pic brought out all these marks and it is much better in hand. Could have been cleaned at one time. I can't tell if that it is a weak strike or is that the toning that is covering it up. I am looking at the area on the obverse "OF AMERICA" area and the wreath on the reverse does not look like a strong strike. But what the heck do I know!? Otherwise I like it. It has a nice strong LIBERTY and the drape/dress looks nice too.
I like the 1st 8 (looks like someone took a bite out of it, what's up with that?), the color and the blue which I think is NT. I don't like the F A in oF America being weak.
I don't have an opinion and I don't know. I say that so the rumors that I think I know everything will finally end
Reverse okay - obverse not my cup of tea. I think NT, but not real sure and would like to see the coin in hand.
I agree. I like the color but I don't think it would warrant much premium based on the pics. But, in hand that might be different.
according to me AT NT is a bunch of nonsense its the intent which can never be proven no matter what a TPG says. I personally like the coin
Be still my quaking heart! Spock & I agree. I like the piece, altho, I will admit that it appears to be a very weak strike.
I will not bash this coin, it is nice, but it looks to me like dipped and retoning. Just looks to new for me for that age of a coin. I'm a copper guy, but have seen my share of early type as well.
Sorry I'm so slow. I actually started this thread to share a lesson I learned. When a coin is cleaned you just never know what it will look like years later. This one came to me 16 years back in an NGC MS-62 holder and was just way to bright white for a coin of it's age. The reverse clash made me want it even with the cleaning. I still love the coin for what it is. It's still in the same holder but wonder what it will look like in the future.
