They billed my card over 3 weeks ago within a day or two of placing the order, same with a friend that ordered at the same time. They still say it is being "processed"
Yea, I actually had to mail in the order from what I remember. That was on the botanic garden set, when I called they said I had one and it would be shipped. A week later I called to see why I hadn't received it and they said that I didn't get one and insinuated I was lying by saying someone told me I was getting it.
Not unless I am so deeply involved in my own lies that I didn't realize I was doing it. Seems as though they have a habit of just making stuff up, when I called to see why I couldn't see my order in my account the lady offered up that it was being picked in the warehouse right then. I think they enjoy doing that to people.
I was not going to say it but now I am . From my experience, most of the mints customer service representatives (AKA order takers) really can not not give you any more information than what you can find by checking your own order. Recently I broke my own promise to myself and call the mint to ask why my online track order thing does not work. The person on the other end looked at my order for a while and told me they really did not know why but felt I was some kind of a glitch(been called worse) . Now that was a good honest answer and one I can deal with. I am not trying to speak ill of the mint but from my prespective, due to the stress factor, I believe I am a much better person when I can avoid direct person to person contact with the mint.
I am going through the same thing right now. I ordered 2 albums for my $1 pres coins. I had to order 2 because there books don't have a slot for both mints. Anyways, I ordered a nice Dansco one instead cause its been taking to long for them to ship mine. So I called them up to cancel my order and she said "I'm sorry you can't cancel your order now because it's already been sent to the shipping department." Well that was 2 weeks ago, and it still says"in stock and reserved" That is the biggest bunch of bullbleep. I say:loud:" the USmint can bleep my bleepin bleep bleep."
i tried to call the mint this morning and got the reply that they were not acpeting calls at this time to call back later.
I just checked the mint website and the order that I placed on the 26th of March is finally being shipped, albeit, partially. At least there is some movement after all of this time.
There's no doubt in my mind that that is the issue, but that does not excuse the run around that they give everyone. It just makes no since how they could have something in stock and on reserve for 4 to 6 weeks. If its being reserved that makes it sound like they don't have it yet, but I have a place in line as they get them in. If its in stock, that would mean they just need to ship it.
I got my email saying the items have shipped and it has my tracking numbers. I have 3 tracking #s for 2 items. When I click on the link to track the package it says there is no such item, so I can't track it. Since I have 3 tracking #s for 2 items I wonder if they broke the dollar set up and are mailing each coin seperatley.
I got an email today that stated that my Lincoln Unc commem is backordered to early May. It has been pushed back several times already. Anyone who is defending the mint in this thread has not dealt with them recently, they have literally fallen apart.
