Well, it's actually not a coin at all. A coin technically has to represent money - with a denomination and issuing agent. What you have is a medal or token. Unfortunately I cannot locate any information for you other than to say that you should look at token and medal references for your answers, not coin references.
Here's one on eBay. Ford motor company I guess, in aluminum, issued 1959. Seller doesn't mention anything more. http://cgi.ebay.com/1959-Fords-Aluminum-Token_W0QQitemZ110306679205QQcmdZViewItem
Stephen Alpert and Lawrence Elman, in their book "Tokens and Medals, a Guide to the Identification and Values of United States Exonumia" (1992) classify this type of item in chapter 3 of their book, and it would be properly called an advertising token or medal. These items are further subdivided, and subdivision #1 is for Automotive and Related Products. There is a listing of specific types, but yours would fall into the Others (major manufacturers) category. It lists a value range of $3 to $10, which has probably not changed much over the years. At least you now know what it is, sorry I couldn't tell you more specifics.
I gotta get one! '59 Ford Galaxies are my favorite cars. I used to drive one to high school and have had two more since. Have one now waiting to be finished. Thanks for sharing.
I can't lay my hands on a particular token reference I have somewhere here. But I would suggest this is a Ford Dealership Token. Probably offered to all 1959 Buyers.
