A friend of me gifted a full album of used stamps, I don't know anything about stamps, but I hope there is a forum like Cointalk where very nice people can help me by giving me answers of my questions. Do you know any nice forum? I have to ask them about my gift... any Stamptalk? cheer up
I could only help if you have EFOs. I have a collection of errors, freaks, & oddities. They are commonly referred to as EFOs by stamp collectors. A stamp may be classified as either an error, or a freak and/or an oddity. Sort of the way we coin collectors might call an error coin a striking error or a variety. Very best regards, collect89
I'll have to get you guys some pics.....I bought some 3rd Reich stamps last weekend at the show, complete sets of them, mint never hinged I guess.
Most of that stuff is common and not worth much. But some of the semi-postals have reasonable value. We'd have to see.
Jack You will find that most Third Reich stamps are worth more, sometimes MUCH more, in postally used condition. Richard
Excellent point. The problem is verifying that the cancellation is appropriate for the time period. I'd start by going to your local library and looking at the volume of the Scott Stamp Catalog that covers Germany. That will give you an idea of the value of your items. We can help with some of the stranger stuff.
A very family oriented stamp forum is http://www.stampcommunity.org They are very small adjunct to coincommunity, very helpful and friendly people. Jim
