I am just trying to post Morgans at various mint state . Can anyone share examples from their collection . Looking for good closeups - google images is not giving exactly what I need ... if anyone has good ones it will be helpful as reference grading for newbies .

I don't know that one exists, but I'd love to see an MS70 Morgan!

I'm pretty sure that none do exist. None graded by a reputable TPG anyway.

unfortunately, that will only work for a specific date and mint mark.

An MS-63 1903-O may not look the same as an MS-63 1878-S. We discussed this in depth in another thread:

If you look in the PCGS Guide to Grading and Counterfeit Detection, there are pics of Morgans in all MS grades both obverse and reverse, from 60 through 70.

I'll have to check it out. I know the high grade Morgans are usually out of my range, but it's still fun to dream!

FWIW, MS Morgans only go up to around 67,68 max. That's the top.

Check out Heritage Auction galleries at HA.com. You can look at high quality pics of all the grades you want there. Zoom in and out, pan around. You'll have all you want to look at there.

Of course this coin is not mine. It was part of the incredible Jack Lee Collection of Morgan Dollars. Probably the most impressively preserved Morgan Dollar in existence. This coin sold for over $400,000 at auction. Feel free view the auction lot in the link below (photos courtesy of Heritage Auctions).
