I set up again today in Glendale AZ, the " Northwest Valley Coin and Card Show "

The 1st time I did this show is was deadsville, I sold less than $50 total. Today was way different. It was busy for a rush period.

This is a brand new show and is gaining public every show. I don;t care for the sportscards and memorabelia but thats what it is, a coin/card show.

Mike, the shows promoter is really working to make this a viable show on the AZ circut, coffee and donughts in the morning and a paid Pizza lunch for the dealers. He also advertises heavily and puts some effort into this, kudos Mike !!

We did a respectable amount of sales today, maybe $400 in total ( table fee was only $45 ) but the over the table purchases made up for it. I now have 47 new BU Lincoln wheat`rolls and some nicer large cents in midgrade problem free condition. Many collectors had the checklists out, and like BHP's report, Lincolns were a steady seller, if even the low priced dates and lower grades, they are still buying.

I cannot count how many times I was asked if I had gold or silver bullion ( I had none ).

As AZ heats up and the winter visitors return home to the north and the midwest, we expect a long slow summer, with only the hardcore AZ collectors out in force. It's a cycle.....winter busy/ summer dead here in AZ. Get used to it.

I have re-upped for the next Glendale show and will now take a corner table which will allow me (2) 8 footers instead of one, I can now stock supplies and page binders/looseleaf stocked with generics. It's a slow crawl up , but more fun than workin, thats for sure.

You need to post these things a few weeks in advance, Jack. I'd drive a few hours to attend a show as long as it's in the West or North valley areas.
    Guy~
