What is the significance of 1874 half anna ?
Btw I spotted this sale on ebay for 500 INR ...i.e 10 Dollars bucks on the 1939 ONE RUPEE !
    http://cgi.ebay.com/One-Rupee-India-1939_W0QQitemZ280327349801QQ
He mentions it weight 12.2gm ....I wonder how a seller like him who says he is selling off coins of his grandma woould weight the coin ...just curious

The images wouldn't need to be yours but they would be a great source for reference without looking online or in my reference books!!

last it turned up in switzerland it would have been more expensive than the 1933 double eagle had it sold then the coin simply disappeared along with its lil brother coin, which everyone denies that it even exists.

the 1939 coin is a counterfeit

    Dearest Spock,

one does not need to own a coin to post a pic of it. Look at my avatar, for example. I WISH I owned that... but if I did, I couldn't really say... hmmm ;)

Find reference pics on the net and this type of thread would be a lot more interesting to read.
