Just bought an 1893 Columbian and a '25 Stone Mountain.....Impulse buy, but from a trusted seller.

Stonewall Jackson, I've wanted one of these coins since.....I can't remember.

    The Columbian.....first American Commem...classic design....high mintage....I don't care.

I have several of the Stone Mountains. I really like that image, definitely one of my favorite commemorative designs..

Those are not bad grabs depending on condition and price. I have always liked both of those really well. The Columbian half was heavily circulated and can be found fairly cheap. My local coin shop literally has a tin can filled with Columbian halves. Apparently one or many individuals got the bright idea to polish these coins until you could see your reflection. They look hideous, but silver is silver. He sells those for around $6-8. Can't wait to see pics Ken.

I will post pics when they come in. Hope I didn't pay too much but if I did (check the mood indicator) you guys will let me know. One should never imbibe and buy at the same time. Well, like I said I do trust my source. These are raw and they come from a fellow who mainly deals with slabs, however, I've been always satisfied with his grading expertise.

AU-58 on the Columbian for $19.

XF/AU on the Stone Mountain for $52

What Y'all think? Should I stop drinkin' beer?

Easy pickups, not too bad. I still need to get around to getting an 1892 Columbian, I have a couple 93s.

I don't know if the words "Spock" and "sweet" should be used in the same sentence! :p;)

LOL.....BTW, I'll have to content with the Stone Mountain. The Columbian was sold prior to my placing the order. I'll pick one up elsewhere....:smile
