What is the average person paying ror a roll of pennies at a coin dealer ? My local small dealer is selling them to me for $3.00 a roll, have bought 3 rolls of P asked about Ds he said he would have more in 2 days he is saving me back 3 rolls. What is everyone else paying for a roll at their coin dealer? I have a large antique and collectibles wich does include coins, they are selling hot for 35 cents each. Located some new penny coin holders that includes year 2010 at $.4.00 each free shipping i bought some as i have not seen any in my area .
Penny roll I have seen that but i can not hardly realize people wanting those prices, i had them at $1.00 my wife thought i was crazy then . I can get all i want according to my small coin dealer . Im just curious what someone on the average would reasonably pay for one , and a price of p & d . I feel like im ripping people off. I just want to make sure my booth pays for its self. And make a little profit, i really sell primatives , antiques , collectables, just learning about selling coins. Indian heads, wheat heads, mercury dime , buffalo, state are selling good, just placed some 1890 o morgans in yesterday.
I am willing to pay exactly what they are worth, $0.50. That said, I have sold several on eBay and the most I got was $37.99 for a mere 5 rolls. That did not include the shipping. I was amazed. It has settled down for me now and I am getting $20-25 per 5 rolls now. I only have access to the D mint coins and I am just about out, although I am keeping some for myself. The thing that amazes me is how much folks are paying for the sold out 2 roll mint set ($50-90). I am glad I ordered 5 sets, but I still do not have them in hand yet but they are "in stock and reserved", I hope.
