i have just began collecting coins and i have a 1983 canadian penny that has far beads, now my problem is that when i look at all the others from 1980 - 1989 everyone but 1980 and 1981 have far beads so what im asking is are the 1980 and 1981 normal or is there something different about them? thanks ahead of time mack
1980 and 81 were the last years of 1 CENT coins with denticles. The switch in 1982 to a 12-sided Cent saw the introduction of beads in place of the earlier denticles.
