How much is this 1953 $2 note worth? BETTER PIC PICTURE UPDATED on March 28th Please let me know, thanks.
nice legal tendor note not in that bad of shape, but the 1.00 writing will drag the grade down some. The super heavy fold line down the center will as well. I might put it in the good/very good range.
Not having my books with me to verify $$$ I would say 5-7$ There are alot of Gems around and evne Gem stars...they go for around $80-$95. I also would say condition is Good..not to sure about very good. Poor pics, sorry to say..but better images or scan would help. RickieB
i only went with a grade as high as very good because the overall note is decent with no rips or tears. The edges all look clean with nor breaks - except for maybe the bottom center. The heavy fold and the pen mark is the biggest drawback. i too was leaning towards good .. maybe a good PLUS is a better description
I did say in an earlier post ("Good 4" at best) that put's it value at $4-$5 Too much wear and hard paper breaks on this note...the writting in ink does not help it either... There are plenty of these around and in Gem Condition as well. I would spend it....but that is just me! RickieB
I uploaded a newer picture so I you guys could get a more definite grade. Thanks. I won't be spending this note, it's my only red seal.
Coinkeeper... Please not get me wrong......I am not dumping on your note at all... Here is one you can buy right now for $12....High end AU Just trying to show you the differences... Good luck.. RickieB
Thanks! That $2 is very tempting, but I think I'll pass. I spent $40 on a couple of coins a few days ago.
Ohhh... I am not offering to sell it to you...I simply went on-line and found that in a few seconds...just to show you what and how common this is, thats all... Take care.. RickieB
