I agreed to help one of my friends sort through some coins he wants to sell. I'm solid on the US stuff, but no clue on these. If any of these stand out as something valuable, I'd appreciate a heads up. And if you want a closer look at any of the coins, let me know and I'll scan individually. Thanks!
Bottom l and r are mexican. THe one above the bottom l is a mexican 50 centavo. Top right is a good for token. Best I can do right now.
Freedman & Goodkind, Civil War storecard, id IL 150V-2a, R-3 rarity (501-2000 known to exist), (2002) listed value in XF is $30 V. Blatz/City Brewery, both id WI 510E-1a, R-2 rarity (2001-5000), listed values are $30 in /VF, $40 in XF, and $60 in Unc. Both have serious issues, but they would still likely bring in the $10 each ballpark on ebay. The Flag of Our Union/DIX patriotic Civil War token, - individual scans would be helpful, as well as rotate views so that the date and DIX are right side up. There are many varieties of both of these dies, and some differences are very minor. Even if a common, value would be $15+ The Liberty/General Tom Thumb is a gaming counter. I don't have my ref. book handy for an id, but value would be in the $10 ballpark. Kansas Good For - Kansas is one of the few states that I don't have a token ref. for. This appears to be an older than average issue for what that is worth. I don't know how desirable that town may be, but IMO it would be worth anywhere from $3 up to ???.
You got three mexican two on bottom left and one on bottom right. Above the bottom right is German 1 Mark (can't tell much - need bigger pic). Same is true on Mexican . To left of Mexican on right is 25 Cent from Netherlands. Can't make out date. 1910 or 1913 is good date worth about $10 USD otherwise $4 USD
The "coin" in the upper left is a British commemorative medal honoring the the future George IV, who was Prince of Wales at the time. It looks to be in Very Fine, in which case it would retail for approximately $20.
Thanks for all the info guys. I've already given the coins/tokens back to my friend, so I can't exactly scan them individually. I'll go ahead and pass this info along to him though. If he gets interested enough, maybe he'll give them back so I can get some better images.
