Is this an error?

    I found the following while searching through some cents:

    The first one is a planchet error, I believe. The next two 1936 cents show the same error: the left leg of the R in LIBERTY is gone. Could it have been polished off? I just find it interesting because they were both in the same bag of wheaties I have accumulated over the years.

    i also have 2 1936's with the same error

    and i think my uncle has found a few too, although not many

    i dont know anything about it other than i have some

    The first one, if its not post mint damage, looks like a lamination, or a strike thru error. The 1936 coins look like filled die errors. Fun that between the both of you, you've found 4 of them.
