I wonder what the story is.I have had trouble getting into www.coinpeople.com today.Have you had the same trouble? I wouldn't be too surprised if Stujoe is adding in a British Commonwealth section to the board. Aidan.
Probably all those cheat post morons overloading the board with rubbish that has no relation to coins whatsoever, you know like pages and pages of smilies...
Sylvester,I am hoping that Stujoe takes up my suggestion of having a British Commonwealth discussion area. Aidan.
Stujoe's a good guy, if he thinks there's enough interest in it then he'll set up any coin related sub-forum you could ever want. So i think it's safe to say you'll get the British Commonwealth discussion area.
It's definitely some sort of server trouble. It didn't come back up after the 2pm automatic server reboot. Why Syl I didn't know you frequented here.
Depends who's got the key this week. Yes Tiff i've been here, oww eons! And i check it most days. Art yeah that's a good point about expanding the GB section, seems more plausible to add it on to an already existing forum, and Aidan you might as well take over running the CP British forum, it could do with someone knowledgable at the helm to take over from me now i'm in exile.
I just tried coinpeople and page popped up saying Stu was throwing in the towel, anybody else see that? And hi everybody.
Hi Dan, Welcome to Coin Talk, I hope that Stujoe's not "throwing in the towel" When I try I get a "site ran into technical trouble" pop-up. It would be a shame if CP is done.
Try his site and see if you get that "throwin in the towel message" And thanks for the welcome, guess I better get use to this place if coinpeople goes bust.
Message at CoinPeople Hi Folks, This is the message being displayed currently. Running a popular forum on a very limited budget while trying to maintain a family and full time job and not having enough knowledge to run a real server and protect it from hackers and everything else the internet has to offer has finally caught up with this amateur webmaster. I am just flat out unable to keep the server up and running properly. It has died and I am unable to bring it back. At this point, the CoinPeople.com server is totally inaccessible (to put it mildly, it is trashed) and, unfortunately, nothing can be retrieved off of it. It would cost more than $80 an hour for it to be reloaded and reconfigured just so that it could end up almost certainly being trashed again. It has been a good run and I thank everyone for their participation and friendship over the years. It has been fun. Hopefully, most everyone can meet up on another forum site. I will list some of them below. See ya around the net...

That is truely sad indeed. This site is my numismatic home, but I always enjoyed visiting CP, I will miss it! Welcome to all those displaced by losing their coin homes!
