Seems to me this means many things both good and bad. I was going to post the question of what were the chances of buying a pf69 or pf70 proof coin from the mint. Well that's anwered.
Bad, is that maybe all proof and UNC coins will be sold from one source eliminating others from getting high premiums upon resale UNLESS the mint put limits on each and every grade, etc.
If this is true, don't you think that it would mean that PCGS will get first shot exclusives to grade the coins that those yahoos that sell on television? The government will get a cut by picking a grading service as the official grading service, then those Yahoos on television will rip off all of those poor unsuspecting people that want to start collecting coins. They will be the exclusive to get the "First Day of Issue", and TV sales and the others like them will promote their "#10 of only 500 exclusively slabbed by the Official grader of the US Mint" and so on. Just another scam. I don't see the US Mint ever selling graded coins, ever. Save the plastic for more important things like making jewel cases for CDs. jmo
