I really like the design look of the older Swiss Franc coins I have been looking at lately. I am interested in purchasing a few as a collector because they are so attractive, but does anyone have recommendations as to which ones make the most sense from an investment standpoint?

Best quess - buy the best (highest grade and lowest mintage) you can afford. But then again - putting all your eggs in one basket!!:rolling::rolling:

I normally pass threads like this but this is one time I have to respond.

First off never buy any coin for investment. The odds are against you.

Second if you like silver as an investment then buy it in the cheapest form you can find rather than expensive coins.

Third if you like the design then why limit yourself to the silver issues? The cu/ ni coins are far scarcer in unc and you don't have to compete with lots of other collectors to get them. Scarce Swiss silver will cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars but the cu/ ni can be scarcer and cost less than $10.

There is a chance of gain or loss no matter which you buy but there's a lot more upside potential in the modern coins almost certainly.
