Congrats on the win. When I saw the picture, I immediately thought "66 luster luster luster". My photos always exaggerate Morgan scuffs, and I think others do too.

You're gonna love this coin. :thumb: Flashy. Post up when it arrives.

Thanks 900, I'll post the pics when I get it, it's probably going to take around a week and a half. And Lehigh that one is a beauty!

I agree with Mike. I you tilt coins in hand and see at different lights and angles and this shows so much more than a photo in hertiage. Though Heritage has some photos that are good and some are not so good.
I think you stated your point very well Mike. It's easy to take coin issues personal because you can spend so much money and overspend or someone else will look at your coin and not like it. I have seen people criticize coins unkindly and that is never necessary I think.

Very Nice Morgan, I've won about a dozen HA Morgans and have so far only sent back one. I try to low ball or as much as possible and compare to ebay as well. I'd prefer local in hand but not always possible. With the exception of the one coin I returned all the others looked better than the pics.

    Nice pick up enjoy!

    thanks Paul

I took a spin around Heritages 66 collection and I have to admit that I'm surprised with the wide variation in examples that grade under MS66. When I started collecting I learned Morgans first. And then after being aclimated with them, I moved on to Merc and was shocked that the level of perfection that the dimes required compared to Morgans. But even still, once you get above MS65 I strongly feel that the coins should have no slider marks, and only a handful of small nicks.
