Recently got this new 1922 Peace Dollar. I know it is a common date and it's nicked up a little. Also not sure about the reverse.

Let me know what you guys think.

    Cheers!

It almost looks like something is on the reverse of the coin, but the image quality isn't great so it's hard to tell. Is that stuff on and above the eagle on the coin or on a holder?

Also, if it's on the coin I wouldn't do anything to try to remove it. More than likely you will hurt the coin.

It's on the coin. It looks like a tiny piece of the coin has some frost. For sure not attempting to remove it - thought didn't even crossed my mind. Also, have you tried clicking on the image and then clicking it again. It brings up a much larger image. It's still hard to judge the coin, but it is larger. :)

    Cheers!

I did that, but you can't get a good look at the luster with the image.

That's pretty in bright silver; I've got one black toned throughout.

Very nice. I think the die crack on the neck may match a VAM that I have seen.

Yep looks like a 2F variety to me. The only Peace I have is also a 2F.

Ahh, I thought it was a die crack on the neck -- glad I got that confirmed. Cheers!

I thought it might be VAM-2BB. [Source] But your suggestion of VAM-2F makes sense too. [Source]

    Cheers!
