I just picked up these 5 raw Jefferson War Nickels on the Bay. If anyone would like to give me their opinion on grades, I would appreciate it. BTW, it can't be a guess the grade if they are raw. I know what I think, but want to know what you think.

I'm going to say all 67s besides the 43d which is a 66

the 42p has to much going on on the cheek to be a 67. Still though these are all stunning coins.

I think only one even has a shot at MS67.

WOW Paul! Those are awesome! Did you buy them from a toned dealer? Or did you cherry them? I say the only one with a shot at a 67 is the 1944.
    That one is really nice.
Man I would love to see your collection in real life sometime.

I will divulge my grades a little later in the thread. I would really like to get the opinions of some of the other members about these coins before I divulge my grades. However, it occurs to me that I might need proof of my grade assignments. Therefore, I will PM you my grades of all five coins. But remember, it is a :secret:

This is really gonna twist you. Check out the E-Bay seller's photos. Surprisingly, the prices went pretty high with these crappy photos.

Ok, I will take a shot keeping in mind I am lousy at grading and still learning quite a bit, but will say the 43P is the one with the shot at the MS-67.

#1) MS-65, plus a possible scratch in the hair.
    #2) MS-65-UG
#3) MS-66, assuming those are die polish lines, or something else benign, on the reverse between PLURIBUS and the mintmark. Nice coin.
    #4) MS-65
#5) MS-64 -- is that a vertical scratch running from Mr. Jeffersons's cheek to his jaw?

Nobody else wants to give their two cents. I know we have more Jefferson Nickel collectors than this.

42P-66 - I love the toning on this one!
    42S-65
    43P-67
    43D-65
    44D-65

Very nice coins Lehigh, do you plan on getting these ones graded?
