my 1942 d/horizontal d jefferson is an old ANACS au-58 slab, is that a good candidate for a reslab with NGC or PCGS and possibly hitting 60+? I could see it going either way, it is a weak strike could be seen as slight wear, the coin is dull overall as many jeffersons from then are so lustre breaks aren't a factor I don't think. If I send it in should I take it out of the ANACS slab? Would that incluence them to keep it as 58? Could it go lower?
If you crack it out, it could always go lower. It could go higher also. Thats why they call it the crackout GAME. Take it to a show and ask NGC or PCGS guys opinion before submitting.
