Finally I did it! I won an auction on eBay for a 2 Euro coin from Monaco! I'm so happy, can't wait for it to arrive Btw, why little denomination coins have lower mintage ?

look here (not my shop) Just in case you'll be looking for Monaco 1C, 2C, 5C coins. They are the really expensive ones.
There are no Monaco euro coins dated 1999 or 2000. So it must be from 2001 (most likely) or later ... Interesting, by the way, that due to a strike at the mint in Pessac, in Nov-2001, the coins dated 2001 had to be confiscated and then escorted to Monaco by the police Christian

The coin was sent to my address in Germany and I got it yesterday here in Paraguay. It was a long wait but finally I have it on my hands!
Goosen,that is a very nice coin.The privy marks (which are mintmarks) that flank the date is very clear.To find out whose privy marks they are,get the latest Krause catalogue (if you have one) & turn to the beginning of the French chapter.This lists the privy marks that have been on the French coins since 1901.
