    Folks:
I recently acquired a Spanish 5 Pesetas with Alfonso XIII on the obverse.
edit: oops, forgot the date: 1890!

Estimated grade is about F to VF.

    Two questions:
    1) What is the silver content? [900 fine? and is it the same as a US silver $?]

    2) Any value above silver melt?

    Thanks,
    Frank

P.S. I also acquired a one florin, 1922, of George V, Great Britian, same questions.

    Thanks again.

    Treashunt,
All of Alfonso XIII's 5 Pesetas are 25 grams, 0.900 Fine, 0.7234 oz ASW per SCWC.
    value in F = $10, VF= 15-25.

    Hope this helps,

    Eduard

    Thanks, Eduard.

    Now for the British piece.

I added the date, if it makes any difference, for the Spanish piece, 1890.

    Thanks again.
