I never knew the mint did this (lol maybe I'm the only one). For $35 plus shipping you get a Unc state quarted, and one of the dies used to strike the coins. I guess, I still think it would be pretty cool to actually have one of the dies though. The mint has been selling the dies since the state quarter program started I believe, so I'm way late on this news lol. I got to start checking the mint site more often.
As long as you realize that the complete coin image on the die has been ground off, leaving bare metal. So it is just a hunk of metal. Any state quarter die is the same as any other, since the image has been ground completely off.
