How to Spend a Fortune in Large size Notes!

Over the years I have put these Large Size Notes together...more recently I have added a few notes that have not come in as of yet!
I think the beauty and artistry of the engraving of days gone by is far superior to anything we have today...
The study of these notes has brought many hours of interesting facts.
I have only shown the faces of the note here..it is a lot of work ya know??

in mot big on modernism art, but i do like the balance on the national cureency notes! They just scream federalism!!! Maybe its the blue seal lol not sure, i do like 'em... there isnt a note posted that isnt a beauriful example of its type!

Wow. That is impressive. First time I've seen a lot of them. I never knew they made a Washington $20 gold note. The artistry is amazing on these.

very impressive Rickie! It would be very educational if you'd post value ranges for notes of this kind. I have one of the 2s, (mine's a series 1917 and probably a solid XF), and I am curious as to it's value. I am sure that other "paper newbs" would wonder about notes that they may recognize.

thanks for looking. all notes are graded..I just cropped them for the images only...the Gold note is the lowest graded note at XF45 (almost made the Almost New 50)...there are 2 others at CHCU63 the remaining notes range from CHCU64-66

Nice! Maybe someday my budget will allow me to get into some of the nicer large size notes. I used to have an 1899 $5 bill with the Indian Chief. Sold it about 20 years ago and have always regretted it. Wasn't perfect, but it was a nice VF+/XF note.

I really do not like to post the value at times but I can tell you that each of them range from several hundred to several thousands of dollars each.....
it is not advised to buy these if you have a heart condition..LOL

The Cherry in the collection now is the $2 Silver Cert "Hancock Note" that one will give ya heart palpatations for sure! Look it up Fr#243..hope you are sitting down!!

For current values you can check out heritage, papermoney guide, or most any other highend auction house. I have fonund that most dealers have the same price range....(in most cases) I am a person that does not do E-Bay..i would rather over pay than use that for any of my notes. now this is a personal preference and I am not knocking ebay, I just do not like all the shady fly by night stories I hear about that place.
