I checked my e-mail the other day and I had two order confirmation e-mails from the mint. Upon closer inspection I checked my invoices from the previous orders and found they have the same invoice numbers. I just checked my on-line bank statement and sure enough, I've been charged the same amount as my two previous orders. I hope they take returns!
Just refuse it, when it comes. BTW They do except returns. The mint sent my Unc Mint Sets 2 my old address, even thought, they have mailed other orders to this CORRECT address. Lost??????
They may or may not be sending you the same order twice, but it sounds like they're definitely billing you twice ! (Just kiddin')
I hope they bill me twice and send me 2 copies of my 05 Westward journey 5 set coin and medal orders! The first set of 5 sold for more than triple what I paid and all I have to do is re-address the box when it comes in the mail! Getting two of those orders would be NICE!
I think the rule is, if you don't want them to they will, and if you do want them to they won't. It may be a dumb rule, but it's the only rule they've got. Every other process is determined by chaos.
same thing here. I received an order that they are sending me a Buff roll set when i received it so long ago but I havent received anything yet
I have an update to my problem with the US Mint. Nothing has been resolved yet, I'm still out $183.00. I spent an hour on the phone with them thismorning and I was transferred three times to different departments and finally I ended up talking to a lady in "Billing". She basically told me it was my screw up becasue I placed the same order twice??!?! I'm confused about how my order could have been placed twice nearly a month and a half apart?!?!?!? with the same ivoice number no less. She was very rude and un-apologetic to my situation. The order was supposedly shipped on the 3rd of this month and I have yet to recieve anything. Im getting frustrated.
This kind of treatment usually results in me asking politely "I'm sorry, may I have your name again please?" And immediately after recieving it, I ask, "May I speak to a manager please? Now." Sometimes, that is enough to get peoples attention, if not, I push until I speak to a manager. If I get any flak for asking to speak to one, that's when the gloves come off. And when I do speak to a manager, he/she gets an earfull too. After all, its what they get paid for, dealing with irrate customers because their subordinates screwed up.
You think you have a problem. Proof American Eagle platinum sets come with $67,365 charge A California collector ordered just one Proof set of 2005-W American Eagle platinum coins, so she was surprised when the Mint sent her 27 sets (with a bill for $67,365).
