" 2009 LINCOLN 2-ROLL SET "BIRTHPLACE" 5 $8.95 $44.75 In stock and reserved Order Status: Your order request has been shipped "
Crap. I should have ordered the Max. Oh well. At least I got an order in for three sets. I really hope the mint doesn't cancel my order. They have already delayed it several times. I should have had it by now.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=330315907322 I ordered 5 Sets and then called my brother and had him order 5 more sets for me!! I am so glad I did!!
Crap, I didn't thin that they could sell out of some thing that they made sever million of. I wish maybe I would have ordered a few.
I ordered three sets a couple of days after they were offered for sale, I still have not received them, site says back ordered 3/30. Hopefully, I will get them.
i ordered 5 sets during the first hour they were available at the mint, and e-mailed a few friends to do the same. i was going to order another 5 sets using my sister's address but never got around to it. i just checked on ebay and the buy-it-now prices are $79-$85. it's gonna get crazy when the mint releases the copper cents. i may have to call in sick that day to try to get the max number of sets. (i haven't taken a sick day in over 12 years, honest!)
This says mintage of the roll set 97,149......I think it will be 100,000!! http://www.numismaster.com/ta/numis/Article.jsp?ad=article&ArticleId=6358
Ok I looked on Wed & they were not sold out yet but the release date was April 9th. So how do people have them already?
I'm still not buying - it may be a mistake. I'm still not buying - it may be a mistake. But live and learn - I just cannot justify it with so many just waiting to be had at face value, (at some point in the future). Looks like I'm "the lone dog out on here" - well it well not be the first time, nor the last I'm sure.
You are not alone my friend. There are millions of them sitting in vaults waiting for the reserve to release them. I spoke with my local bank and they told me they are tired of the hoopla from the mint and will not be ordering any of the new stuff anymore. I guess people were getting mad at them for bringing it in and then buying it and not getting rich off of them. ie.. State quarters, Prez Dollars. Jefferson Nickels. So I will wait for a different bank to get some. If they don't oh well. Not crazy about all this new stuff coming out anyway.
theres a guy in SC and his wife works at the bank and he is selling box of $25.00 worth of the new penny for $400.00 on ebay thats crazie, im going to the bank this morning here in colorado and get me a box for $25.00
As expected, everyone should have see the writing on the wall after the KY event....that's about all the coins that made it out and a few from the mint release. The demand is HUGE and the supply is not near great enough to meet it.....especially for the P mint coins. Considering the P mintage is less than the 1955S mintage and the demand is so large, don't think this is your average Lincoln cent coin....you won't see they laying in a parking lot anytime soon.
well ia m glad my buddy bought one for me or i was a gonner. if you have friends and family in high places ull always have a great collection
I've check with just about every bank here, at least 8 different, and no 2009 cents. Their explanation seems to be that there are just to many cents available, coming in, to warrant ordering cents from the reserve, which costs them money to do so. I don't see the sense in this frenzy to acquire these coins unless the mint plans on not minting or releasing them. I'm looking forward to searching a few rolls in order to find a near perfect example "to collect". Face value, the best value, specially for today's hoopla stuff coming out of the mint. Allen
