I'm doing a series of articles related to Classic Silver Commemoratives. It is a project that will take me over a year to complete. I really enjoy the history and beauty behind the coins in this series. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I'll enjoy telling it. :smile http://www.stellacoinnews.com/index.php/category/reference-library/collective-commems/
Looking forward to your articles. I'm (very) slowly trying to put together an Early Commemoratives set. Your work should enhance my enjoyment. My set should about average AU. But it's a Level 3 collection for me so I only buy with whatever money is left over from higher priority items. That's why I said VERY slowly.
It's best to take your time and buy the best you can afford. Here is my newest lesson: http://www.stellacoinnews.com/index.php/189293-columbian-exposition-half-dollar/
Lee, Did you get a chance to read my thread about the Lafayette Dollar. There is a post about the die varieties on page two that might interest you. http://www.cointalk.com/forum/t50032/#post550974 I still love my Antietam BTW. Take care, Paul
